They focus on conservation, education, and advocacy efforts that range from reducing plastic waste and cleaning up beaches to protecting marine wildlife and habitats. With initiatives like "Beachwatch," The Marine Conservation Society encourages communities to participate in coastal clean-ups and supports global efforts to protect ocean biodiversity.
A Partnership for Positive Change
Our partnership with the Marine Conservation Society centres around supporting efforts to reduce ocean plastic pollution and raise awareness of marine conservation issues. The funds we've raised for MCS will go towards:
Beach Clean-Ups 🏖️: MCS runs the Beachwatch program, a nationwide effort to keep UK beaches clean. Every year, thousands of volunteers join clean-ups to remove rubbish and gather data on ocean pollution. Our donation helps supply materials for these clean-ups and supports the volunteers who make it all happen.
Research and Data Collection 📊: Tracking the types and amounts of waste on our beaches helps MCS identify major pollution sources and trends. This data is then used to push for policies that reduce waste at its source. Our donation will help them keep the research going!
